Bad response to a customer complaint...
We all have had experiences where we haven't been very happy with the result. The Thirsty Pagan and staff try very hard to make every customer's experience worthy of a return visit. We do not always reach our goal.
With that said, we also try to make lemon aid out of lemons. We have already reviewed the night of your visit with the staff involved.
Thank you for helping us become a better place to visit. Please come visit us again. We believe that you will enjoy your visit much more.
...not even an apology!!! I didn't even get an apology for their employee almost knocking me over or for their rudeness! I have to say, I will not be returning to this place again. I am a very disappointed with them.
and p. s. stupid company...it's LEMONADE not lemon aid!

Everything but the kitchen sink pasta...
It turned out pretty well. Aside from the fact that I spaced while preparing it and forgot to put any spices in it at all! : ( Major bummer. I sprinkled some garlic on top in a sad attempt to get some flavor in there.

Tea Party Anyone?
The lovely view when you first walk in...
Mr. Frog, who welcomes you and showers your with info and pamphlets...
The lovely Miss Victoria enjoying tea, pinkie up and all...behind Victoria is the hat rack full of hats for you to try on and wear during your tea party.
After the sandwiches there were blueberry scones...they were so dang tasty we scarfed them down so quickly I didn't even get a picture!
Then it was dessert time! The little desserts for each of us! Mmm...
Before we went I was not a fan of hot tea at all...I will say that I did enjoy a few of the 5 different flavors that we tried. I cannot say that I will be going out and buying and hot tea to keep on hand at my house though, I didn't enjoy it that much! Haha.
-Me wearing it yesterday when we went for tea at a tea room. (will blog more about that next!)
I made a few more last night when I got home...
I wasn't doing so hot with the camera when I took these I guess!

Turbo Antioxidant Soup...
My mom had given me the recipe for this soup and I have to admit, I was scared at first. I didn't think there was any way I was going to like it.
I have it stuck in my head that I do not like sweet potatoes...even though I have had sweet potato fries and loved them, a sweet potato burrito and enjoyed it and now in this soup and loved it! You just have to try it! : )
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 2 sweet potatoes, diced
- 3 cans kidney beans, drained
- 3 cans black beands, drained
- 1/3 tsp oregano
- two 32oz cartons of veggie broth (or chicken broth, if you must)
- 2 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 packages spinach
- 8 cups kale
- 2 cups soy beans (or roasted chicken pieces, if you must)
- diced red bell pepper
- 1 tbsp parmesan cheese
Heat oil in large pot over medium-high heat. Saute oinions for 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients, except red pepper, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and lightly boil until sweet potatoes are soft (12-15minutes.) Taste and adjust seasonings. Garnish with red pepper and parmesan cheese before serving if desired.
This makes a lot of soup!!! I ended up adding a few more cups water because all of the ingredients wouldn't fit in the amount of broth provided. I didn't even get all my kale and spinach in because my large soup pot was full and just couldn't take any more! I also didn't have any oregano on hand so I simply left it out...still amazing! I ended up adding more salt to the pot of soup and actually to the bowls of soup as well.
Enjoy!
